    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pattern forming apparatus which can form a pattern excellent in feeling of distinction, depth and moving by a coating film containing a magnetic material.
      SOLUTION: The pattern forming apparatus is constituted by making the sides of sheet-like magnets 11, 12 contact so that magnetic poles of the outside and the inside of the adjacent sheet-like magnets 11, 12 are different respectively. A coating material containing the flat magnetic material is coated on a material 16 to be coated consisting of a nonmagnetic material to form a coating film 17. The sheet-like magnets 11, 12 are arranged along the surface of the coating film 17. In this state, a magnetic field is applied on the coating film 17 by the sheet-like magnets 11, 12, the magnetic material in the coating film 17 is oriented by the magnetic field, and the magnetic material is oriented nearly in parallel to the surface of the coating film at a contact part 19 of the sheet-like magnets 11, 12. Then, the coating film 17 is constituted so as to form the pattern by the magnetic material.
