SOLUTION: This method of forming a coat comprises (1) a process to apply a metallic base coating material which contains 30 to 70 mass% of non-leafing electrodeposition aluminum pigment to the solid content of a coating material on a plastic material, (2) a process to apply a two-pack acrylic urethane clear coating material which can satisfy the conditions such as a curing contraction of not more than 100 mm and a coating strength of not less than 400 kg/m 2 on a metallic base coat formed by the process (1), and a process to cure the dual coat formed by the processes (1) and (2).
