    • In a single can-type composite heat source machine including a single can body (2) including a first combustion section (3-1) having a first burner (4-1) and a hot water supplying first main heat exchanger (5-1) located above the first burner (4-1), and a second combustion section (3-2) having a second burner (4-2) and a second main heat exchanger (5-2) located above the second burner (4-2) and used for a purpose other than hot water supply, the first combustion section (3-1) and the second combustion section (3-2) being partitioned from each other by a partition wall (2a) and juxtaposed in a lateral direction, the machine including a first auxiliary heat exchanger (11-1) and a second auxiliary heat exchanger (11-2) both of a latent heat recovery type connected to upstream sides of the first main heat exchanger and the second main heat exchanger, respectively, an exhaust system can be miniaturized and simplified in spite of provision of the auxiliary heat exchangers. A space in an exhaust hood (9) common to both the combustion sections (3-1, 3-2) arranged on the can body (2) is partitioned by a partition wall (9c) into a first exhaust space (10-1) and a second exhaust space (10-2) through which exhaust gases from the first and second burners (4-1, 4-2) flow, respectively. The first and second auxiliary heat exchangers (11-1, 11-2), each composed of laterally meandering heat absorbing tubes (11a), are arranged in the respective exhaust spaces.

    • According to the present invention, access to a password area in a nonvolatile memory cannot be granted by simple supply of an address in a normal order. According to one preferable mode, for instance, a trap address is set in the password area so that reading information from the password area is permitted only when the password area is accessed without accessing the trap address, whereas when the password area is accessed the trap address, whereas when the password area is access through the trap address, information reading is inhibited, or meaningless data is output or the information in the password area is destroyed. This invention can make it harder to gain access to a password area which is used to protect against illegitimate copying and can provide a nonvolatile memory having a stronger copy protection capability.

    • In a method of making a gas burner device, there are steps of symmetrically blanking a first metal plate and deforming it so as to form a first intermediate blank having a bulged portion, bending the first intermediate blank at a symmetrical center thereof to provide a first burner flow path with the bulged portion, and joining end portions of the intermediate blank to form a first burner, blanking a second metal plate and symmetrically deforming it so as to form a second intermediate blank having a bulged portion, bending the second intermediate blank at a symmetrical center thereof to provide a cover plate; and encasing at least an upper end of the first burner with the cover plate to form a slit-like sleeve first hole between the first burner and the cover plate, and forming a second burner flow path communication with a second burner suction hole and the slit-like sleeve fire hole so as to provide a second burner.
