    • There is provided a combustion plate in which the combustion resonant sounds and instability at the time of high-load combustion can be resolved and in which a large opening ratio of the flame holes can be secured. Flame holes of an equal diameter are formed evenly over an entire surface of a combustion region of a plate main body in such a positional relationship that adjoining three flame holes form an equilateral triangle. Provided that a flame hole group which is made up of six flame holes disposed in a positional relationship to form an equilateral hexagon and one flame hole in the center of the equilateral hexagon is defined as a unit flame hole group when disposed adjacent to another flame hole group across a large equilateral hexagon enclosing the equilateral hexagon, there is formed in the surface of the plate main body a bottomed hole.

    • Provided is a combustion apparatus that can positively prevent a combustible gas present in the vicinity from catching fire in performing prepurge, which involves exhausting air from a combustion chamber provided with a burner, before igniting the burner. The combustion apparatus 1 contains combustion control means 6 that ignites the burner after performing prepurge by use of a fan 4, and gas detection means 5 that is provided between an air supply port 7 and the fan 4 and detects the concentration of a combustible gas. The combustion control means 6 ascertains, before starting the prepurge, whether a combustible gas of a preset maximum concentration or higher is detected by use of the gas detection means 5 (STEP 1) and prohibits the prepurge by prohibiting the energization of the fan 4 when a combustible gas of the maximum concentration or higher has been detected (STEP 2).

To attain the object, a plurality of projected rims 321 and 322 extending from the periphery of a portion of the partition plate 3 opposed to the air supply port 4a to a front edge of the partition plate 3 are provided on a lower surface of the partition plate 3. The height of a downward projection of the projected rims 321 and 322 is reduced toward the air supply port 4a. The portion of the partition plate 3 opposed to the air supply port 4a is formed in a concave shape recessed upward.
