    • A reproduced signal from a recording medium 1 is equalized at partial response (1, 0, -1) by a reproducing equalizer 3, and is converted into a reproduced and equalized signal. A clock reproducing circuit 4 issues a reproduced clock synchronized with the timing of data identification, and applies it to a phase adjusting circuit 5. A phase control signal generating circuit 6A detects a specific pattern from a reproduced digital signal issued from an A/D converter 7, and the advance or delay amount of phase of the reproduced clock is detected by the amplitude or distribution of the sampling value. This phase deviation amount is given to the phase adjusting circuit 5 as a phase control signal. The phase adjusting circuit 5 given a delayed clock to the A/D converter 7, and controls to A/D convert the reproduced signal at correct timing.

    • A digital signal recording and reproducing apparatus has the following components: a digital information decoding circuit for outputting (a) a received digital information signal by selecting a channel, and (b) a first analog signal by selecting and decoding either one of a selected digital information signal, and a reproduced digital information signal of a recording medium; a recording and reproducing unit for outputting a reproduced digital signal, comprising (a) a digital signal recording unit for inputting the digital information signal of the channel selected and output by the digital information decoding circuit, and for recording on the recording medium, (b) a digital signal reproduction unit for reproducing the digital signal recorded on the recording medium, and (c) a first recording and reproduction unit for recording and reproducing an externally input analog video/audio signal on the recording medium as a second analog signal; a bus line for transmitting (a) the digital information signal of the channel selected and output by the digital information decoding circuit to the recording and reproducing unit, and (b) a digital information signal output by the recording and reproducing unit to the digital information decoding circuit; and an analog information selecting circuit for selecting and outputting either one of (a) the first analog signal decoded by the digital information decoding circuit, and (b) the second analog signal reproduced by the recording and reproducing unit.

    • A video signal recording/reproducing apparatus has, in a recording signal processing section, a first switching circuit for exchanging 2-channel component signals at intervals of nH (n: any integer, H: horizontal scanning period) to obtain two combined signals each containing the 2-channel component signals which appear alternately at periods of nH, and a first delay circuit for delaying one of the two combined signals by nH so that the same kind of signals appear at same timings in the two combined signals. The two combined signals one of which is delayed by nH will not be interfered with each other by crosstalks therebetween which will occur in the subsequent circuits including recording and reproducing heads. A reproduced signal processing section has a second delay circuit for delaying by nH a reproduced combined signal which corresponds to the combined signal which has not been delayed in the recording signal processing section so as to recover the original timing relation between reproduced two combined signals, and a second switching circuit for exchanging the reproduced two combined signals one of which is delayed by nH by the second delay circuit at intervals of nH to obtain the original 2-channel component signals.
