摘要： A method for use in a nonvolatile storage device that can resize one or more partitions prevents an address management table from becoming complicated after repeated resizing of partitions. When a partition is resized, a logical-to-physical conversion table is updated by shifting a physical block address corresponding to a partition subsequent to the resized partition by the resized amount of the partition. The method enables both logical addresses corresponding to partitions and logical addresses not corresponding to partitions to be constantly continuous to one another.

摘要： A nonvolatile memory device comprises a nonvolatile memory and a memory controller. The nonvolatile memory includes the same memory cells striding over a plurality of pages. A page information instruction part has the page structure information of the nonvolatile memory. According to this information, a related page identification part identifies a page (related page) in which the data may change. The relation data stored in the related page are temporarily stored into a save memory before an error occurs, and if an error exists, these relation data are used to repair the data that have changed. By this method, in a memory device using a nonvolatile memory including the same memory cells striding over a plurality of pages, even if an error occurs during data writing, the error is repaired and the reliability can be ensured.

摘要： A method for converting a data stream in a first format into a data stream in a second format is provided. Each stream includes data packs in which video/audio data are stored and a control pack for use in a playback control of the stream. In the first format stream, address information, representing addresses of the data packs and not required while the stream is played back, is present and associated with the stream. In the second format stream, address information, representing addresses of the data packs and required while the stream is played back, is stored in the control pack. The method includes the steps of: acquiring the first format stream and its associated address information; generating a second control pack in the second format from a first control pack in the first format, the second control pack storing the address information acquired; and replacing the first control pack with the second control pack, thereby generating the second format stream from the first format stream.

摘要： When an access device accesses a nonvolatile memory device, the nonvolatile memory device or the access device detects or calculates a temperature T of the nonvolatile memory device. A temperature-adaptive control part of the nonvolatile memory device controls an access rate to a nonvolatile memory on the basis of the temperature T. Accordingly, the control part controls the rate so that the temperature T of the nonvolatile memory devices cannot exceed a limit temperature Trisk. In this manner, a nonvolatile memory system can eliminate a risk of a burn when ejecting the semiconductor memory device and can read and write data at a high speed.

摘要： A semiconductor memory card is provided with a transmitting and receiving circuit of a plurality of transmission systems such as a single-end signaling transmitting and receiving unit and a differential signaling transmitting and receiving unit. When power is turned on, each transmitting and receiving unit is turned on. When a command is provided from a host device, a command processing unit judges the transmission system provided in the host device, based on reception results of each circuit. Then, only a transmitting and receiving unit of the system identical to the transmission system used for transmission is turned on, and the subsequent data transmission is performed. Thus, the semiconductor memory card provided with a plurality of transmission systems performs transmission by simply identifying the transmission system provided in the host device.

A phase difference detector 4 detects a phase difference between the sine wave and the carrier wave. A deviation detector is provided for detecting a deviation of the integrated value with respect to an expected frequency control data calculated by a calculator.
