    • A kitchenware apparatus and container for producing fermented vegetables, such as sauerkraut, comprising a screw top or Mason jar, a threaded jar lid with moat and an oblong top slot opening, an inverted cup that fits within the moat, a plunger sized to fit within the neck of the jar and having a keyed handle that extends up through the slot in the lid, and a compression spring. The lid moat and inverted cup comprise an airlock or one way valve that allows fermentation gases to escape but prevents outside air from entering. The screw lid, spring and plunger comprise a press that compresses the fermenting vegetables to press juice from the vegetables and to hold the vegetables under the liquid surface to prevent mold or other spoilage and to prevent browning.

    • A route exception reporting apparatus is mounted in a mobile shipping vehicle having a predetermined geographic route. The shipping vehicle may be a self-propelled vehicle containing cargo or may also be a separable self-contained shipping container carried on a transportation vehicle. At least a portion of the predetermined route is stored in the apparatus on board the shipping vehicle. The apparatus is provided with a geographic locating means for determining the shipping vehicle location, a comparator means for comparing the shipping vehicle location with at least one point of the predetermined route and a communication means for communicating with a central station. The apparatus is configured to communicate the shipping vehicle location to the central station when the comparator means computes a difference between the shipping vehicle location at a particular point in time and the predetermined route point corresponding with that particular time point which exceeds a predetermined limit. The central station may be provided with an alarm and display means for notifying personnel at the central station of the occurrence of a route location exception.

    • An ergonomic vertical redirection vision system comprises glasses or goggles with lenses modified to include a fresnel prism that vertically redirects light. The curved fresnel prism is a novel curved refractive element with unique advantages compared to a flat fresnel prism. The curved fresnel prism may be achromatized by the addition of an appropriate diffractive surface thereby creating a hybrid achromat or diffractive/refractive optical element (DROE). Looking through the modified eyewear will redirect the user's visual field up or down, depending on the configuration. Upward vision redirection improves ergonomics and aerodynamics for several sports including bicycle riding, swimming, downhill ski racing, and motorcycle racing. Downward vision redirection improves the ergonomics of reading a book, working on a laptop or pad computer, or taking notes in a class.

    • A sexual aid device comprising a battery powered electric vibrator which attaches to the user's tongue. The first embodiment attaches to the tongue using a post (18) which is inserted through a hole previously pierced in the tongue. The assembled device is shaped roughly like a dumbbell consisting of a post (18) with retainers mounted at either end. Post (18) has a diameter narrow enough to fit through the tongue hole, but the retainers have larger diameter and cannot slip through the hole. An electric vibrator motor (14) is incorporated into one of the retainers. At least one of the retainers must be removable to allow device insertion. An electric battery (13) may be mounted in the same retainer as the vibrator motor (14) or in the other retainer. The second embodiment attaches to the tongue using suction, constriction, and friction. The front end of the device houses a vibrator mechanism comprising a vibrator motor (14), battery (13), and switch (38) in a moisture resistant housing (11). A pliable plastic mouthpiece (31) is mounted at the rear of the device. The interior of mouthpiece (31) forms a tongue cup (32) into which the user inserts the tongue. Tongue cup (32), when partially evacuated of air, acts as the means of attachment to the tongue. A sealing lip (33) circles the rim of tongue cup (32). Sealing lip (33) both constricts the tongue and forms an airtight seal against the skin of the tongue. Concentric friction ridges (34) circle the interior of tongue cup (32). Friction ridges (34) grip the tongue and act as secondary air seals.
