摘要： A steam sterilizer includes a sterilization tank configured to house an object to be sterilized and perform sterilization on the object to be sterilized by maintaining supplied steam at a predetermined temperature and under a predetermined pressure; a steam-supplying pipe configured to supply the steam into the sterilization tank; a steam-supplying pipe valve configured to control an amount of steam flow flowing through the steam-supplying pipe, wherein the steam-supplying pipe is provided so as to have a diameter that allows a pressure-increase rate of 100 kPa/min or more in the sterilization tank; and a control unit configured to control the steam-supplying pipe valve to be fully opened, in a conditioning process for repeatedly performing introduction and discharge of the steam in and from the sterilization tank and to control the steam-supplying pipe valve so as to supply a predetermined amount of steam, in a sterilization process after the conditioning process.

摘要： Provided is a steam sterilizer capable of performing water vapor sterilization without using a vacuum pump as a mechanism for bringing the inside of a pressure vessel into vacuum. The steam sterilizer includes a pressure vessel (32) which stores an object to be sterilized and in which sterilization is performed with water vapor supplied from a steam piping, and vacuum-generating means (34) which is connected to the pressure vessel (32) and brings the inside of the pressure vessel (32) into a vacuum state. The vacuum-generating means (34) includes a water ejector (48), a tank (50) for storing supply water supplied from an outside, and a pump (52) for supplying the supply water inside the tank (50) to the water ejector (48).

摘要： A friction stir welding apparatus (120) brings end faces (1, 2) of a plate material (W1), having fingers (7a through 7d) at corners thereof, into abutment against each other to form a hollow cylindrical body (W2), and friction-stir-welds the end faces (1, 2) to each other. The apparatus includes a base (122), a first support device and second support device which are mounted on the base (122), a support core (32) spaced from the base (122) by the first support device and the second support device, for insertion into the hollow cylindrical body (W2) and for supporting the hollow cylindrical body (W2), and a first gripping member (238) and a second gripping member (268) disposed on the support core (32) for gripping respective protrusions (8, 9), which are formed when the fingers (7a through 7d) are held in abutment against opposite ends of abutting regions of the hollow cylindrical body (W2), and which extend along a joining direction. The support core (32) has passages (258, 260) defined therein for passage of a cooling medium therethrough.
