    • The inventive fuel injection valve (16) comprises an injection valve element (24) via which at least one injection opening (26) is controlled. The movement of the injection valve element (24) is influenced by a control valve (18) which comprises a control valve element (62), said control valve element controlling the pressure in a control pressure space (48), and which can be moved by an adjusting force generated by a piezo actuator (80) thus controlling a connection of the control pressure space (48) to a pressure release space (12). The control valve (18) comprises two valve seats (60, 74) which are interspaced in the direction of movement of the control valve element (62), and with which the control valve element (62) interacts via a respective sealing surface (66, 69) arranged thereon so that the control valve element (62) has two closing positions in which the control pressure space (48) is separated from the pressure release space (12). When the control valve element (62) is not located in one of both closing positions, the control pressure space (48) is connected to the pressure release space (12). The fuel injection valve (16) can be momentarily opened by moving the control valve element (62) between both closing positions thereof.

    • The inventive fuel injection valve (16) has an injection valve member (24) which controls at least one injection opening (26). The movement of the injection valve member (24) is influenced by a control valve (18) which has a control valve member (54) that is used to control the pressure in a control chamber (50). The control valve member controls a relief channel (46) in a closing piston (42) that delimits the control pressure chamber (50), said closing piston acting on the injection valve member (24) in its closing direction using the pressure that is present in the control pressure chamber (50). The control valve member (54) can be displaced with a piezo actuator (78) through a hydraulic transmission and in this way opens or closes the relief channel (46). The control valve member (54) interacts with the opening (47) of the relief channel (46) on the closing piston (42) in the form of a valve seat and the cross-sectional area of the control valve member in the control pressure chamber (50) is at least approximately equal to the cross-sectional area of the opening (47) of the relief channel (46), so that no force is exerted on the control valve member (54) through the pressure in the control pressure chamber (50) and so that only a slight force is required to move the control valve member.
