In particular when the film contains alternating layers of unsaturated amphiphilic compounds, it produces a stable multilayer having good monlinear optical properties and is suitable, for example, for electrooptical switches, diode laser frequency amplifiers or optical parametric amplifiers.Besides the dye indicated, the unimolecular layer can additionally contain at least one second amphiphilic compound. In this case, the unimolecular layer comprises amphiphilic compounds.

摘要： Radiation-sensitive film composed of at least one monomolecular layer of fluorine-containing amphiphiles. If a vinyl monomer containing fluoroalkyl side groups is copolymerized with a vinyl monomer containing oxirane groups, an amphiphilic polymer is obtained. To prepare a sandwich, a polymer is dissolved in a volatile organic solvent which is immiscible with water, the solution is spread on the water/air boundary surface, the resultant layer is compressed after the solvent has evaporated and transferred to a solid layer support by the Langmuir-Blodgett technique. The oxirane rings are cleaved and the film crosslinked by the action of high-energy radiation on the film.

摘要： A liquid-crystalline polymer phase having an induced cholesteric structure comprises a component having a chiral structure and a component having a nematic structure and contains a polymer with nematogenic units of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen or methyl, n is an integer from 1 to 6 and R.sub.3 represents specific structural elements containing at least two phenylene groups. Preferred is a copolymer comprising a component of the above formula and an additional chiral component of similar structure, prepared by copolymerization of the nematogenic monomer with the chiral monomer.The liquid-crystalline polymer phase permits variation of the wavelength of the reflected light .lambda..sub.R, and its cholesteric structure can be converted to the glassy polymer state and remains preserved in the solid state. Such liquid-crystalline polymer phases can be used in integrated optics, opto-electronics and information storage, e.g. for the manufacture of polarization filters or selective reflectors.

摘要： The invention relates to a hyperfiltration membrane containing a supporting layer and a separation layer. The membrane is characterized in that the separation layer consists of a crosslinked monomolecular film of molecules, the molecules of the separation layer in the uncrosslinked state being surfactants or surfactant-like lipoids containing at least one hydrophobic chain and at least one hydrophilic group, the hydrophobic chains of these molecules being oriented mainly perpendicularly to the plane of the membrane and parallel to the diffusion direction after crosslinking and the molecules of the separation layer being crosslinked with one another through functional groups in at least one of their hydrophobic chains and/or through functional groups in at least one of their hydrophilic groups.The invention also relates to a process for the production of hyperfiltration membranes in which the surfactant molecules or the surfactant-like lipoid molecules are spread out under a certain spreading pressure or occupying an average space over the surface of an aqueous solution or at the interface between an aqueous solution and a liquid immiscible therewith, the surfactant molecules or the surfactant-like lipoid molecules are crosslinked with one another and the separation layer crosslinked in this way is applied to a supporting membrane.

摘要： An optical recording medium contains, on a base, one or more dyes and a polymer which forms liquid-crystalline phases.The information is written into the uniformly oriented liquid-crystalline polymer layer, for example by means of a laser. During this procedure, the polymer heats up locally to above a phase transition temperature. By cooling, the resulting change is frozen in the glass state.The information can be erased by applying an electric field and/or heating.The recording material permits high-contrast storage and possesses high sensitivity, good resolution and excellent stability.
