    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a derailment prevention guard for a ballastless track which is structured to keep a sufficient fastening strength even after secular use without exerting severe influences upon the lifetime of a lightweight crosstie.SOLUTION: A derailment prevention guard 10 is provided in a lightweight crosstie 2 which is disposed in a ballastless track, for preventing derailment of a vehicle traveling on a main-track rail. The derailment prevention guard 10 comprises a rail fixture 11 fixed to the lightweight crosstie 2 and a guard rail 30 fixed to the rail fixture 11 and disposed along the main-track rail. The rail fixture 11 includes: a bed plate 12 disposed on a top face of the lightweight crosstie 2; a rail holding member 14 for holding the guard rail 30 at an upper side of the bed plate 12; a pressing member 15 for holding the bed plate 12 and the lightweight crosstie 2 in both side portions thereof from upper and lower sides; and a fixing bolt 17 for fixing the bed plate 12 to the lightweight crosstie 2 together with the pressing member 15 while vertically penetrating the lightweight crosstie 2.

A space between a pair of horizontal parts (12a), (12b) of the clearance filling-up member (12) is somewhat larger than the thickness of the panel (1). The horizontal parts (12a), (12b) are pressed against the side part to sandwich the adjacent side part of the panel (1). Thereby, a vertical part (12c) is curved to be protruded toward the other panel (2) and its front end abuts on the adjacent side part of the other panel (2).

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic sintered body which has high strength and is resistant to grain refining, and to provide ballast and a ballast track bed. SOLUTION: The ceramic sintered body 3 is manufactured in the following manner. First, ethanol is added to alumina and coal ash as a solvent, and they are mixed and crushed by means of a ball mill, to thereby obtain slurry. Next, the ethanol is removed from the slurry by using a decompression type explosion-proof oscillation drier to obtain the mixed powder of alumina and coal ash. The mixed powder is then molded by a manual hydraulic press, and sintered in a large atmospheric sintering super-kanthal furnace at the highest temperature of 1,500, to thereby obtain the ceramic sintered body 3. The ceramic sintered body 3 thus manufactured satisfies all test items including bulk density, an abrasive ratio, hardness, a compression crushing ratio, and a shape, out of road bed ballast lithic tests. Further it is confirmed that items including bending strength, compressive strength, and an elastic coefficient of the ceramic sintered body exhibit values equal to or larger than those of track bed ballast in actual use.
