    • The present invention relates to an airbag (6) arranged to be inflated by an inflating device (10) and comprising at least two airbag parts (12, 13, 14) which in turn each comprises at least one bonding (15; 16, 18; 17) and at least one airbag aperture (19; 20 23; 22).     • There is proposed an inflatable airbag (63) for a motor vehicle safety device. The airbag has an inflatable volume for the receipt of inflating gas, said inflatable volume comprising a primary chamber (66) and a secondary chamber (69). The secondary chamber (69) is fluidly connected to the primary chamber (66) via a connecting flow port (55) arranged between the chambers. The airbag has a gas guide (50) provided inside the primary chamber (66) and which has: a gas inlet (61) arranged to receive a flow of said inflating gas into the gas guide (50); a primary outlet (62) arranged to direct some of said inflating gas into the primary chamber (66) in a first flow direction (F1) to inflate the primary chamber (66); and a secondary outlet (56) aligned with said connecting flow port (55) and arranged to direct some of said inflating gas through said connecting flow port (55) and into the secondary chamber (69) in a second flow direction (F2) to inflate the secondary chamber (69). The first and second chambers (66, 69) are thus configured to deploy into abutting and superimposed positions upon inflation, and wherein said first and second flow directions (F1,F2) are substantially orthogonal. The airbag is particularly suitable for use as a pedestrian airbag on a motor vehicle.
