    • PURPOSE:To make a rotor very larger in cohesion as well as to reduce its cost, by heating a rotor material up to melting temperature of liquid crystal polyester resin and then forming this resin by means of injection molding, then sticking it closely to the surface. CONSTITUTION:At the time of forming a Roots-type pump rotor by means of resination, a rotor material 1, whose circumference is of cocoon-form, consisting of an aluminum alloy is used as an insert member. Minute holes 10a, 10b are installed on an aluminum surface. If the aluminum material is heated up to 280 deg.C, minute holes 12a, 12b are expanded. Since the rotor material is being heated, resin is in no case solidified and gets into each innermost recess of these minute holes 12a, 12b. If temperature goes down, the resin in the hole is contracted because of aluminum contraction, and minute holes 14a, 14b are also contracted, so that the resin and the aluminum are strongly bound together. Thus, such a rotor as very large in cohesion is securable and, what is more, it is formable inexpensively in terms of manufacturing cost.

      SOLUTION: The vibration welding apparatus is equipped with a base part 1, the vibration unit 9 provided to the base part 1 and having a work holding surface for holding a work to be welded and an excitation source 3 for vibrating the vibration unit 9 in order to weld the work under vibration. The vibration unit 9 is constituted by parallelly providing a first vibration unit 9f and a second vibration unit 9s in one direction. One of the excitation source 3 and the vibration unit 9 is made movable along one direction with respect to the other one of them. The excitation source 3 is provided so as to be capable of changing over a first form for vibrating the first vibration unit 9f and a second form for vibrating the second vibration unit 9s.

An attaching plate 7 is provided so as to be positioned between the elastic member 4 and the base part 1. The vibrator 2, the work holding part 5, the elastic member 4 and the attaching plate 7 are integrated to form a unit 9. The surface positioned on the side opposite to the work holding part 5 of the attaching plate 7 constituting the unit 9 is set as the attachment and detachment separation surface 90 attached to the base part 1 of a vibration welding machine. A fixing means 100 for fixing the attachment and detachment separation surface 90 of the unit 9 to the fixing surface 10 of the base part 1 is provided.
