摘要： Methods of treating solid or cystic tumors are disclosed. The method comprises administering to a human subject afflicted with a tumor an antibody in a therapeutically effective amount, wherein the antibody is monoclonal antibody Me1-14 or an antibody which binds to the epitope bound by monoclonal antibody Me1-14, and wherein the Fc receptor of the antibody is deleted. When the tumor is a brain tumor, the antibody may be administered by intrathecal injection. If the brain tumor is a cystic brain tumor, and the administering step may be carried out by depositing the antibody in the cyst cavity of the cystic brain tumor. Particularly preferred is a monoclonal antibody Me1-14 F(ab')2 fragment coupled to 131I.

摘要： Oxidants ( e.g ., N -chlorosuccinimide) can be used to stabilize α-particle emitters ( e.g ., 211 At) in solution, prior to their subsequent reaction to form α-particle emitter labeled compounds (e.g., a radiolabeled pharmaceutical or a radiolabeled precursor used to prepare it). In particular, the use of an oxidant has been found to maintain the α- particle emitter in a chemical form that facilitates this reaction, which may involve a number of possible mechanisms including electrophilic substitution, nucleophilic substitution, complexation, exchange, or metallic bonding. Compounds labeled with α- particie emitters in this manner have wide-ranging therapeutic applications, particularly in the treatment of cancer.

摘要： Disclosed is a method for dosimetry estimation for a region of interest at or around a surgically created resection cavity in a subject. These methods enable medical practitioners to estimate the amount of administered Radioimmunotherapy (RIT) agent needed to safely and effectively achieve a final Radiation Absorbed Dose (RAD). Furthermore, computer hardware and software are provided herein, so that the methods according to the invention may be automated for more efficient use. Also disclosed is a method of enhancing delivery of therapeutic antibodies that specifically bind to an extracellular stromal constituent of a tumor in a mammalian subject. The method comprises administering to a subject an effective dosage of a blocking antibody, said blocking antibodies specifically binding to said extracellular stromal constituent and blocking the binding of therapeutic antibodies to non-target tissue.
