摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel photocatalyst excellent in photocatalytic activity and its production method. SOLUTION: Particulates of a titanium phosphate compound, preferably particulates of titanium pyrophosphate, are used as the photocatalyst. The average crystalline particle size of the particulates is preferably 3-350 nm. After an ion-exchange resin containing phosphor atoms in its chemical structure is caused to adsorb titanium ions, the resin is heat-treated to give the photocatalyst, which comprises particulates of a titanium phosphate compound attached to a porous carbon material which is a carbide of an ion-exchange resin. The phenol derivative oil fraction consists mainly of 3-methylphenol or 4-methylphenol, 4-hydroxyphenol or 4-methylphenol, 3-hydroxy-2-pentanone and 3-methoxy-1-propene, and the like.

摘要： It is acknowledged that an electric double layer capacitor is markedly superior in power density and cycle characteristics to a secondary battery. However, a higher energy density is required to apply it to a power supply of hybrid vehicle, electric vehicle or the like. The present inventors have found that a carbonaceous material containing copper or a compound of copper exhibits excellent characteristics as an electrode material for capacitor and can realize a capacitor having a large capacity. In the electrode material and the capacitor, copper or a compound of copper exists in the amount of 0.8 to 30 parts by weight calculated on the metal basis based on 100 parts by weight of the carbonaceous material, particularly preferably.

摘要： There is disclosed a method of recovering chlorine gas from calcium chloride comprising the steps of introducing calcium chloride into a heat-resistant vessel which is provided with a gas inlet pipe and a gas outlet pipe, heating the calcium chloride up to at least the melting point thereof while introducing an inert gas from the gas inlet pipe into the vessel to produce fused salt of calcium chloride, and heating the interior of the vessel up to at least 1073K and switching a gas to be introduced from the gas inlet pipe from the inert gas to oxygen to allow the fused salt of calcium chloride to react with the oxygen to obtain chlorine gas and calcium oxide, the chlorine gas being subsequently rapidly and continuously discharged from the vessel through the gas outlet pipe.
