    • A power conversion apparatus includes a plurality of power modules, a plurality of capacitors and a bus bar. Each of the power modules has a direct current terminal section and an alternating current terminal section. Each of the power modules is configured and arranged to convert a direct current inputted from the direct current terminal section into a respective phase of a multiple-phase alternating current and to output the multiple-phase alternating current to the alternating current terminal section. Each of the capacitors is arranged with respect to a corresponding one of the power modules. The bus bar forms an inter-phase current path between the power modules that are adjacent and forms an intra-phase current path between one of the power modules and a corresponding one of the capacitors such that an impedance of the inter-phase current path is smaller than an impedance of the intra-phase current path.

    • A two-side image forming apparatus of the present invention is provided with a first sheet-transferring path, for use in one-side image formation, for transferring, to a printed sheet storage section via an image transcribing section, a sheet supplied from an unprinted sheet storage section; and a second sheet-transferring path, connected to the first sheet-transferring path, for supplying a tuned-over one-side printed sheet to the image transcribing section, the two-image forming apparatus being controlled so that a plurality of sheets are transferred concurrently in an overall sheet-transferring path when performing two-side image forming operation, the overall sheet-transferring path including the first sheet-transferring path and the second sheet-transferring path. With this arrangement, it is possible to attain a significant improvement in process efficiency.

    • In a gas laser device, a laser gas sealingly stored in a chamber is excited using a discharging electrode that is electrically discharged. Laser light produced by the electrical discharging is totally reflected by a total reflection mirror. An output window partially reflects the laser light and outputs a portion of the laser light reflected between the total reflection mirror and the output window. A blower circulates the laser gas within the chamber so that the laser gas passing an electrical discharging region of the discharging electrode is circulated in the chamber and is returned to the electrical discharging region of the discharging electrode. The blower is operated according to the state of electrical discharging from the discharging electrode. The blower operation includes operating rotation of the blower in a stand-by state in which no laser gas is excited by the electrical discharging from said discharging electrode so that no laser light is emitted but the gas laser device is in a condition to output the laser light, and operating rotation of the blower in an in-operation state in which the laser gas is excited by the electrical discharging from said discharge electrode and laser light is outputted.
