    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop a general rotator or a rotating body which usually rotates by small force or to maintain stop state as strongly as eliminating a fact of having rotated at any position within 360° in circumference direction if it is not the case.
      SOLUTION: In a bearing having an inner ring, an outer ring and rolling elements, a piston, movable in a bearing axial direction and capable of transmitting force in a circumference direction to the bearing is provided in the bearing and a ring in which the piston is not provided is press-contacted at its top part. A ring-shape groove consisting of a side wall where a ring-shape panel and an engaging part are respectively formed is provided between the inner ring and the outer ring. A plurality of ring-shape panels which are alternatively engaged with the inner ring and the outer ring are provided at the groove. The bearing is provided with a means capable of applying pressure to an uppermost panel of the panels.

    • An apparatus for reading information by projecting a light beam from an optical head onto an optical disk rotated by a spindle motor. The rotation time of the spindle motor is measured, and upon reaching a predetermined time, a cleaning request signal is sent to an upper order system. The rotation time of the spindle motor is counted by counting pulses generated with the rotation with a first counter stored in the RAM.
