    • An AC energy converter characterized in a magnetism generating mechanism (1) for generating a revolving field, and a rotating mechanism (2) including a rotating disc (20) rotatably supported on a support pin (21). The magnetism generating mechanism (1) and the rotating mechanism (2) are separated into separate units independent of each other. The magnetism generating mechanism (1) includes a donut-shaped magnetic pedestal (10), and a plurality of rotationally driving coils (11) having a cored planar shape and wound with windings of a low resistance, and its circuit is constructed of an inverter circuit (12) for feeding an electric current having a frequency not lower than that of a commercial power supply to the rotationally driving coils (11). The rotating mechanism (2) is equipped with the rotating disc (20) which is made of a magnetically soft and highly conductive metallic material. By providing the magnetism generating mechanism capable of generating the revolving field efficiently while reducing the heat from the coils themselves and the magnetic attraction, the rotating mechanism can be driven in a high performance so that the construction is made at such a low cost as to match the practice.
