    • A manually guided suction device or blower is provided that has a housing in which is formed a spiral blower path in which is disposed an impeller that is rotatably driven by a drive motor. The spiral blower path has an air-conveying air inlet and an air-withdrawing outlet. A connector is provided for the detachable connection of an air-conveying connection conduit, whereby when the connection conduit is mounted it overlaps with the connector, which is secured to the housing, over a prescribed axial length.     • The invention is directed to a portable handheld tool such as a brushcutter which includes a work tool assembly and a drive motor connected by a drive shaft. The drive shaft is surrounded by a protective tube and is centrally held therein by means of a bearing sleeve unit. The bearing sleeve unit braces itself against the inner peripheral wall surface of the protective tube via outwardly extending support ribs. The bearing sleeve unit defines a bearing bore for holding and guiding the drive shaft within the protective tube. The bearing bore and the drive shaft conjointly define an annular bearing play gap therebetween whereby frictional heat generated in the bearing sleeve unit is reduced while vibrations of the drive shaft are developed and imparted to the bearing sleeve unit. The support ribs are configured so as to be resilient in the radial direction to attenuate the vibrations imparted to the bearing sleeve unit. A plurality of impact ribs extends substantially radially from the outer surface of the center portion for impacting against the inner wall surface in response to the vibrations thereby limiting the amplitude thereof.

    • The present device for the photogrammetrical measurement of the human head, especially of the middle region of the face with the eye sockets, the nose, the cheek bones and the brows, is comprised of a projector for projecting a pattern image onto the face and two cameras which can simultaneously take two pictures from two different directions of the face and head with the pattern image projected on it. The two cameras and the projector are supported by an apparatus carrier, which can be moved in a vertical direction relative to a base permanently connected to the device and in at least one horizontal direction. This minimum of one direction coincides with the optical axes of the cameras. The device will facilitate bringing both the projector and the cameras on the one hand and the human head on the other into the required relative position to one another as necessary to take the pictures.

    • A camera leaf shutter assembly having at least one activation ring rotatable about a stationary carrier ring for operating the shutter assembly is provided. The number of individual parts of the assembly is reduced and assembly is facilitated by forming the activation ring and carrier ring of a synthetic material.The carrier ring is formed with a groove for receiving the activation ring with the groove walls securing the activation ring in the radial direction. The securing element may be a bayonet-type closure or deformable tabs biased toward the axis of the assembly. In a preferred embodiment the shutter blades are pivotably mounted between two activation rings, the activation rings and shutter blades disposed within a shutter chamber formed by an outer ring cooperating with the camera ring for securing the assembly.

    • A novel gear arrangement is provided for coordinately performing two or more functions such as winding a film load within a camera, resetting the shutter thereof and setting the flash cube assembly therein. To effect these functions, an internal gear is provided having an internal annular area provided with gear teeth and an internal annular area free from gear teeth. Operatively connected to the internal gear are a plurality of planetary gears, each having an annular external area of gear teeth and an external annular area free of gear teeth, the respective gear teeth areas being in meshing engagement and the respective areas free of gear teeth being in facing relation. The internal gear is provided with a partially milled or corrugated exterior edge mounted through the camera housing. Rotatably connected to the planetary gears is a planetary carrier provided with at least one, and preferably two, sets of function driving gear teeth. Operatively connected to the planetary gears is a sun wheel provided with a set of gear teeth engaging said planetary gear teeth and a further set of function driving gear teeth. The sun wheel and planetary carrier are rotatably connected on a stationary shaft. As the milled edge of the internal gear is rotated, the function driving gear teeth are respectively displaced to effect functions in the camera.
