    • An ion exchangeable mixture containing a polymeric compound consisting of an ion exchange resin, an acrylamide mixture containing at least one bisacrylamide and at least one acrylamide, and a copolymer obtained by reacting the polymeric compound with the acrylamide mixture, and a method of producing the same are provided. The ion exchangeable membrane produced by using the ion exchangeable mixture has significantly smaller electric resistance than conventional ion exchangeable membranes, and has excellent selective permeability because the ion exchangeable membrane is electrically charged. The ion exchangeable membrane can be produced under very mild production conditions, and thus can be produced very easily. Furthermore, the ion exchangeable membrane can be also formed into film during a crosslinking reaction in a solvent of water, and thus is advantageous in that the ion exchangeable membrane can be freely produced into desired sizes, shapes and forms.

    • Provided are a sensing switch and a sensing method using the same. The sensing switch includes: a substrate; a supporter on the substrate; a sensing plate that is connected to a side of the supporter and is in parallel with the substrate by a predetermined distance; a receptor binding region on an upper surface of an end portion of the sensing plate; an electric or magnetic field generation device that induces deflection of the sensing plate when a receptor bound to the receptor binding region is selectively bound to an electrically or magnetically active ligand; and a pair of switching electrodes that are separated by a predetermined distance and is connected when the sensing plate contacts the substrate due to the deflection of the sensing plate. A target material need not be labelled, a signal processing of a fluorescent or electrical detection signal using an analysis apparatus is not required, and a signal can be directly decoded by confirming whether a current flows through the switch.

    • Provided is a fluid mixing device which produces a series of solutions with a concentration gradient. The fluid mixing device includes: a plurality of first channels disposed parallel to each other on a layer, and into which an equal amount of diluent flows from its upstream; a plurality of second channels formed perpendicular to the first channels on an adjacent layer to the layer on which the first channels are formed, and into which an equal amount of sample solution flows from its upstream; and via holes formed at at least one intersection between each of the first channel and a plurality of second channels so that a predetermined amount of sample solution flows from the second channels into corresponding first channels, wherein a series of solutions with different concentrations is produced in the first channels depending on the amount of sample solution that flows into the first channels through the via holes. Thus, a series of solutions with different concentrations is output from the first channels.

    • A retainer ring having an air deflector, for use with an airbag mounting structure, includes a flange in which an inflater opening for receiving an inflater is formed; and a wall, a base of which is connected to the flange, extending upward and outward from the inflater opening at a predetermined angle to diffuse and deflect exploding gas upward. The wall, which realizes a simplified configuration for the retainer ring, may include convex portions projecting inwardly towards the inflater opening, being regularly spaced, and rib formations integrally formed on an inner side of the wall between the convex portions. The rib formations are evenly spaced, as a pair of rows covering the height of the inner side of the wall, and slope downward on either side of the convex portions. The airbag mounting structure clamps the inflater and the airbag between the retainer ring and a baseplate, which is mounted to a support within an automobile. To determine a mounting position and orientation, a tabbed cut-out is formed in the retainer ring, juxtaposed to a coupling hole thereof, and is bent at a right angle to pass through an alignment notch formed in a flange of the inflater and a series of alignment holes formed in the other components.
