摘要： It is an object to provide a receiving apparatus which is capable of demodulating signals with a very simple arrangement. Receiving apparatus 1 has N reception antennas 11-1-11-N, and reception antennas 11-1-11-N receive signals. Channel coefficient estimator 12 estimates and outputs channel coefficients from the signals received by respective reception antennas 11-1-11-N. QR decomposer 13 is supplied with a channel matrix having the channel coefficients as its elements, performs QR decomposition on the channel matrix, and outputs a Q matrix and an R matrix. A QH processor 14 is supplied with the Q matrix and the received signals, multiplies the received signals by a complex conjugate transposed matrix of the Q matrix, and outputs converted signal z. A transmitted sequence estimator 15 is supplied with converted signal z and the R matrix and estimates transmitted sequences.

摘要： Channel estimation values of pilot symbols for channel compensation of data symbols in an OFDM receiver can be used, even in cases where FFT extract position differs for each frame. The OFDM receiver is characterized in having a circuit which calculates the amount of phase rotation that is generated by the difference in timing at which the individual symbols are extract as objects of a fast Fourier transform when the fast Fourier transform processing is performed by a fast Fourier transform circuit, and further a circuit which corrects the amount of phase rotation for the channel estimation value determined by a channel estimating circuit.

摘要： Herein disclosed is an apparatus for decompressing compressed data which can decompress compressed data at a high speed as compared with the prior art decompressing apparatus. The apparatus comprises recording means, reading means, decompressing means, at least one frame memory, picture designating means, and control means. The recording means is designed to record the compressed data to be decompressed by the decompressing means. The recording means includes at least one random access memory for recording the compressed data in order to enable the random access to read each GOP in any order. The reading means is adapted to read the compressed data to be decompressed by the decompressing means from the recording means. The decompressing means is operated to decompress the compressed data read from the recording means by the reading means. At least one frame memory is operated to store the decompressed data produced by the decompressing means. The picture designating means is designed to designate a targeted compressed picture to be decompressed by the decompressing means. The data of the targeted picture designated by the designating means is transmitted to the control means as a designated picture. Based on the designated picture, the control means is operated to control the reading means by specifying the compressed GOP including the designated picture and also to control the decompressing means by transmitting the data relating to the designated picture.

At least one pilot symbol is received from a transmitter. The pilot symbol may be provided in a data frame of data symbols, or transmitted through a channel different from a channel of the data symbols. A first estimated value of the propagation characteristic of a propagation path is estimated by using the pilot symbol. The data symbols are tentatively determined based on an estimated value of the propagation path. A second estimated value of the propagation characteristic is estimated by using the pilot symbol and at lease one of the tentatively determined data symbols. The data symbols are finally determined based on the second estimated value of the propagation characteristic.
