    • There are disclosed compounds ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are each independently of one another hydrogen, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 alkyl group, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 alkoxy group, a C.sub.5 -C.sub.8 cycycloalkyl group, a C.sub.5 -C.sub.8 cycycloalkoxy group, a C.sub.5 -C.sub.8 cycloalkylthio group, a C.sub.6 -C.sub.10 aryl group, a C.sub.6 -C.sub.10 aryloxy group, a C.sub.6 -C.sub.10 arylthio group, nitro, halogen, cyano, --COOH, --COOR.sub.7, --NR.sub.8 R.sub.9 or --CONR.sub.8 R.sub.9, where R.sub.7 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.20 alkyl, C.sub.5 -C.sub.8 cycloalkyl, phenyl or phenyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, and R.sub.8 and R.sub.9 are each independently of the other hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 alkyl, phenyl or phenyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, X is nitrogen or CR.sub.4, Y is nitrogen or CR.sub.5 and Z is nitrogen or CR.sub.6, and R.sub.4, R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 are each independently of one another hydrogen, a straight-chain or branched C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 alkyl group or a C.sub.6 -C.sub.10 aryl group, with the proviso that, if X is CR.sub.4 and Y is CR.sub.5 and Z is nitrogen or CR.sub.6, or if Y is CR.sub.5 and Z is CR.sub.6 and X is nitrogen or CR.sub.4, then each pair of substituents R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 and R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 form a group --CH.dbd.C(R.sub.10)-C(R.sub.11).dbd.CH-- or a tetramethylene group, wherein R.sub.10 and R.sub.11 are each independently of the other hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl, phenyl or phenyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl. The compounds are suitable for use as active components in thermal information recording systems, especially for laser-optical information recording media.

    • In a radio receiver which can be switched between at least two waveranges, the coil winding (33) of the oscillator circuit (31) has a further coil winding (36) inductively coupled to it with which a capacitor (37) is arranged in parallel for limiting the waverange comprising the higher frequencies. In the case of reception of the waverange comprising the lower frequencies this capacitor (37) is effectively arranged as a padding capacitor in series with the set of plates (34) of the variable capacitor in the oscillator circuit (31) while simultaneously the further coil winding (36) is effectively arranged in series with the coil winding (33) of the oscillator circuit (31) for the purpose of extending the range and a further capacitor (38) is effectively arranged in parallel with the set of plates (34) of a variable capacitor in the oscillator circuit (31), for the purpose of shifting the waverange of higher frequencies to the waverange of lower frequencies. This switching process is carried out with a single changeover switch (32) (FIG. 1).
