    • An arrangement for attaching a vehicule safety restraint airbag cover (5) to a housing (3), particularly for use with a driver's side airbag (1). The arrangement comprises: an airbag housing (3) having an internal space for receiving an airbag (1), and a side wall having at least one raised catch member (8); an airbag cover (5) having a hinge member (6) in which is formed at least one aperture (7) through which the catch member (8) extends, and an inflator mounting bracket (10) having a base wall which is arranged adjacent and parallel to the base of the housing (3), and a side wall which is arranged to extend substantially parallel to the side wall of the housing and to sandwich the hinge member (6) of the cover (5) between the bracket (10) and the housing side wall. A metal insert (12) may be moulded into the hinge member (6) of the cover (5) to strengthen it. The side wall of the bracket (10) may be formed with teeth (14) which fit inside the upstanding catch member (8) on the side wall of the housing (3), so as to lock the hinge (6) even more securely to the housing (3) against forces applied to the cover (5). Thus the arrangement provides a relatively low cost, easily and safely assembled airbag module using a minimum number of parts.

    • A driver's air bag arrangement comprises an inflatable bag (2), a housing (6) and an inflator module and includes a generally cylindrically shaped gas container (3) shaped and dimensioned so that a substantial part of the container is locatable within a coaxial with a steering column shaft (4) of an automobile, or so that it forms an integral part of the steering column shaft, there being additionally a manifold (8) for directing the gas into the bag in the housing to inflate the bag in an evenly distributed manner and to direct the gas flow radially of the steering column shaft. The manifold may comprise a member such as an internally threaded cap nut (5) which is used for securing the air bag housing and/or a steering column to the steering column shaft or inflator.

    • The invention relates to an instrument for analysis of rhythmic measures of speech. One input device is operable to generate input signals representing the rhythm of a group of syllables and an output device reponds to these signals and provides a representation of the input rhythm and an indication of the relationship of te input rhythm to a known or predetermined rhythm. The visual representation may be in the form of a numerical display such as comprising symbols representing different rhythmic measures of speech. The input device may be a push button to open and close a switch in a rhythm corresponding to that in which a group of syllables such as a line of verse would be spoken or read. The instrument allows information to be entered rapidly and simply and the difference between spoken and written language presents no difficulty. The instrument can be used for interactive educational purposes and it improves hand movement and speech co-ordination as well as assisting the translation of texts set to music. The instrument can also assist a user in modifying his or her spoken and/or written language in accordance with a desired effect or to conform with existing models.

    • A method for backing up data in a computer system from at least one primary data source to a secondary data source is provided. The method includes performing a full image backup on a plurality of data blocks stored by the primary data sources. An incremental backup can then be initiated at a predetermined interval. During this incremental backup, the modification time of each file/folder at the predetermined interval can be compared to a defined time. If the modification time is earlier than the defined time, then the data blocks of that file/folder can be excluded from the incremental backup. If the modification time is later than the defined time, then the data blocks of that file/folder can be included in the incremental backup. This method can be used to provide an efficient disaster recovery using a network.
