The joint plate 3 connecting terminal portions of the main girders 2a, 2b with each other are divided into two joint plate members and between these members, a joint connecting plate is interposed. The skin plate 4 is divided into two skin plate members and a cover plate is disposed to cover a gap between these members. The longitudinal rib 5 connects the main girders 2a, 2b with each other between the joint plates 3, 3. One end of the stopper mechanism 6 is connected to the main girder 2a and the other end thereof has a clearance of a predetermined distance L between the other end and the main girder 2b. In the case where a compression force in a tunnel axis direction acting on the steel segment 1 is a predetermined value or more, the longitudinal rib 5 is buckled plastically to absorb the compression force.
