摘要： The broad view headlamp includes a plurality of light sources that illuminate an area in front of the headlamp, an area adjacent to each side of the headlamp, and an area below the headlamp. The headlamp includes a number of lighting modes, such that any one of the light sources can be operated individually or in combination with any one or more of the remaining light sources. The headlamp housing has multiple lighting compartments, each having one or more light sources disposed therein. Each compartment includes an optical lens. The various light sources, together with the optical lenses, allow the headlamp to illuminate a view area extending to, at least, the outer boundaries of the far peripheral vision of the human eye, i.e., 110 degrees to the right and left of center. Thus, the total combined view area illuminated by the headlamp is at least 220 degrees.

The lighting system is designed to withstand the difficult and extreme weather conditions typically experienced in outdoor work sites such as drilling rig environments. The pulley and roller arraignments are designed for minimal friction. The overall pulley and roller design for the lifting of the unit (including the way the cables are orientated) is extremely robust. The outrigger includes fold out and lock in place design. The power source can run a duel transfer switch setup powered by an external supply (like drilling rig power) or from its own 100% back-up generator. Lighting used is typically light in weight and bright. Towers are skid mounted and mobile, e.g., with the use of a truck. Individual lights can swivel and tilt as can the entire bank of lights.

The devices include a flame element that extends upwardly from a housing. A light source can be disposed with respect to the flame element such that the flame element is illuminated. A variety of drive mechanisms could be disposed within the body of the device that can cause movement of the flame element with respect to the housing. The flame element can be coupled to a housing or mounting bracket of the device using various components to suspend the flame element within the housing.

摘要： A rechargeable lamp system (10) includes a set of one or more self-standing rechargeable lighting fixtures (12) removably received on a recharging platter. The luminaries each include a light diffuser (114) resembling a candle that turns on when removed from the charging platter (28). The luminaries also turn on when power to the charging platter (28) is turned off, which allows the set to be used as a table lamp, and has the added benefit of turning the luminaries on automatically during a power failure. The luminaries are each inductively coupled to the recharging platter, which enables to provide an aesthetically pleasing interface free of electrical contacts.

The showcase has a showcase structure for containing the items to be displayed, which includes at least one glazed surface through which the items can be seen. Showcase lighting is provided wired with the showcase structure. The showcase lighting includes: at least one compact ultraviolet LED assembly; a white light assembly; and a controller for controlling the ultraviolet LED assembly and white light assembly with modulation such that the ultraviolet radiation stimulates visible fluorescence in the ultraviolet-reactive item while items in the showcase structure are broadly illuminated by the white light. A method for displaying items in a showcase, and a kit for retrofitting existing showcases is also provided.
