The system and method includes propagating the free-rooted plants and then transferring them to a transport container. The transport container includes a light and hydrated nutrient balls adapted to keep the plant alive during transport. The plant may, after transport, be transferred to a growing container. The growing container may include a spherical upper portion and a conical lower portion. The growing container allows for the growing of individual free-rooted plants and is coupled to a fluid supply system which provides water to misters within the growing container, and which removes excess water from the bottom of the lower portion of the growing container.

摘要： La invención aquí presentada, comprende un empaque para la conservación de frutas y verduras, de peso reducido, de materiales poliméricos flexibles, que permiten la ventilación controlada, permitiendo a los frutos y/o verduras empacadas conservar por un mayor número de días la hidratación de los mismos, conservándolos frescos por mayor tiempo y sin necesidad de refrigeración. El cuerpo del empaque está formado por capas sobre puestas de materiales poliméricos; una capa externa de material polimérico con función estructural, un material polimérico poroso con función absorbente de humedad, y un tercer material polimérico con micro-perforaciones con función de retención de humedad. Dichos materiales se encuentran predispuestos en la parte central de una banda de material polimérico. La banda de material polimérico multicapa, es predispuesta longitudinalmente para su doblez y posterior termo-sellado, formando así una bolsa de empaque de base plana. El método utilizado para el termo-sellado de las bandas centrales de material polimérico, comprende el termo sellado sólo de los bordes de material polimérico mediante la aplicación de calor y presión por medio de cilindros de temperatura controlada mediante maquinaria de termo soldadura. Dicho método único de termo-sellado permite pegar sólo los bordes de las capas poliméricas dejando la parte central de las mismas unidas pero no laminadas.
