The system further comprises at least one sensor selected from a humidity sensor (112), a temperature sensor (114) and an ice detection sensor (116). Furthermore, the at least one sensor is configured to communicate measurement data to the control arrangement (110), and the control arrangement (110) is configured, based on the measurement data, to detect a likelihood of ice formation on the Magnus-rotor, and to rotate the Magnus-rotor with a surface speed having a centrifugal acceleration of at least 10 m/s 2 , if the likelihood of ice formation is at least 30 %.
