摘要： A bacteria removing filter unit for hemodialyzers which can effectively prevent bacterial pollution of a hemodialyzer, save a troublesome work for directly performing sterilization and disinfection at the time of reuse, and permit a bacteria removing filter itself to adequately be subjected to sterilization and cleaning without damaging biocompatibility. The bacteria removing filter unit comprises a filter casing (21) including a first bacteria removing chamber (22A) receiving therein a bacteria removing filter (25A) and a second bacteria removing chamber (22B) receiving therein a bacteria removing filter (25B), a connection (26) defined by having an outlet (23B) of the first bacteria removing chamber (22A) and an inlet (24A) of the second bacteria removing chamber (22B) approach each other, and a switching valve (27) provided on the connection (26) for switching between a position at the time of disinfection where middle portions of the connection on sides of the outlet and the inlet are made to communicate with each other to prevent a dialyzing fluid from flowing into and from a hemodialyzer (10), and a position at the time of dialysis where the middle portions are not allowed to communicate with each other, thus permitting the dialyzing fluid inflowing into and outflowing from the hemodialyzer (10).

摘要： A method of inhibiting the coagulation of blood during the extracorporeal circulation thereof by bringing a member for releasing an antithrombotic drug, prepared by dispersing a difficulty water-soluble antithrombotic drug in a macromolecular material, into contact with the circulating blood. A device for releasing an antithrombotic drug to be used in the above method comprises either the drug releasing member contained in a vessel provided with blood inlet and outlet ports at the respective ends thereof or the drug releasing member constituting at least the inner wall surface of the vessel. As the antithrombotic agent can be released sustainedly from the drug releasing member, the blood coagulation in the blood circuit can be inhibited as a result of the contact of the blood with the member during the extracorporeal circulation.

摘要： A method and medical machine for calibrating a peristaltic pump (36, 39) intended to be used in connection with the medical machine, such as a dialysis machine. The machine comprises an internal fluid flow meter (18, 19). Fluid is introduced into the pump segment (36) and is pumped by the peristaltic pump at a substantially constant rotation rate. Three different inlet pressures are obtained and measured by a pressure meter (16) and the corresponding fluid flow is measured by the internal fluid flow meter (18, 19) for obtaining calibration pair values. A calibration curve is calculated from said calibration pair values by a computer (23) inside the medical machine. The actual fluid flow rate is determined by said computer (23) from said calibration curve based on the actual inlet pressure and the actual revolution rate of the propelling means.
