A method of making a fastening tab is also disclosed. The method includes attaching multiple discrete patches of mechanical fastener to a substrate web extending in the machine direction, cutting through the substrate web and the multiple patches of mechanical fastener in the machine direction with a continuous, meandering cut to provide two sub-webs, and optionally providing cross-web direction cuts through each sub-web to provide a plurality of fastening tabs. An absorbent article including the fastening tab and webs of fastening tabs are also included.

The appearance-modifying device (10) comprises two oppositely arranged substrates (11, 12), which are spaced apart by a spacer structure (13). The spacer structure (13) spaces apart the two substrates (11, 12) in such a way that a space between the two substrates (11, 12) is divided into a plurality of cells (15, 16), the shapes of the individual cells (15, 16) being such that an aperiodic cell pattern (14) is formed by the cells (15, 16). Each cell (15, 16) may comprise an optically transparent fluid having a plurality of particles dispersed therein. The particles are moveable in the fluid through application of an electric field. 摘要： A roof membrane and a roof system employing an EPDM membrane (11) which is compatible with a bituminous adhesive. The membrane includes an outer layer (12) of polymeric layer such as EPDM bonded to a polyester protective layer (16) which is in turn bonded to a fleecy material (22). This can be adhered to a roof deck surface (24) using hot asphalt or bitumen (26) which bonds the fleecy material to the roof deck in turn holding the EPDM in place. The polyester layer (16) prevents the asphaltic material (26) from attacking and dissolving the EPDM with the fleecy material (22) providing good adhesion between the polyester and the EPDM.

摘要： An image bearing composite optical material (10) is formed as a laminated flexible sheet having an image bearing photographic quality film layer (18) variously bonded between outer and inner translucent layers (16) of paper, fabric, or synthetic materials. The composite optical material provides two sharply distinct appearances dependent upon being viewed under backlit or ambient illumination conditions. Full-colored and precisely detailed images are produced under backlighted conditions; a plain appearance is produced otherwise. Improved embodiments include a nonbilateral structure wherein a middle image bearing film layer is bonded over its entire adjacent surface with an outer translucent layer, and is bonded at widely separated points or along thin lines (38) with an inner translucent layer to produce an air gap (G) there between. The air gap embodiment negates image transmission under nonbacklit viewing conditions.
