摘要： An apparatus (27) for bio-stimulating phototherapy is provided herewith. The apparatus comprises a light source (29) for providing light with a phototherapeutic wavelength and a controller (37). The controller is configured to control operation of the apparatus, in particular the light source. The apparatus is configured for illuminating the skin (3) of a subject's body portion (1) with light emitted by the light source. The controller is configured to control the wavelength of at least a portion of the light as a function of at least one of melanin index (M) or the lightness (L*) of the skin. 摘要： The invention relates to a luminous window which can function both as a broad area light source and as a transparent window. The broad area light source is achieved by coupling light into a plate-shaped light guide, e.g. via the edges of the light guide, and extracting light from the light guide using geometric protrusions or diffraction gratings into a scattering layer which outputs the broad area light. The transparent window is achieved by switching the scattering layer into a non-scattering state, and possibly switching off the light source, so that light can propagate freely through the light guide and the scattering layer.

摘要： A matrix display comprises a matrix of optically addressable pixels (Pij). The pixels (Pij) comprise a light sensitive element (LSij) having a state depending on a brightness of control light (Lj) impinging on it. The pixels (Pij) further comprise a pixel light generating element (LGij) for generating pixel light (LMij) with a brightness depending on the state of the light sensitive element (LSij). The matrix display device comprises a sheet of transparent material (TS) positioned in front of the matrix of pixels (Pij), and a light source (LS) which couples source light into a side of the sheet of transparent material (TS). In use, the source light is substantially totally internally reflected in said sheet (TS). The control light (Lj) leaves the sheet (TS) at positions where the sheet (TS) is locally disturbed. This control light switches or changes the brightness of the pixels (Pij) at these positions, or provides touch position information.

摘要： It is disclosed an appearance-modifying device (10), for modifying the visual appearance of a surface covered thereby. The appearance-modifying device (10) comprises two oppositely arranged substrates (11, 12), which are spaced apart by a spacer structure (13). The spacer structure (13) spaces apart the two substrates (11, 12) in such a way that a space between the two substrates (11, 12) is divided into a plurality of cells (15, 16), the shapes of the individual cells (15, 16) being such that an aperiodic cell pattern (14) is formed by the cells (15, 16). Each cell (15, 16) may comprise an optically transparent fluid having a plurality of particles dispersed therein. The particles are moveable in the fluid through application of an electric field. An appliance at least partly covered by the appearance- modifying device (10) is also disclosed. Furthermore, it is disclosed a method for manufacturing the appearance-modifying device.
