    • A method of continuous manufacture of a composite hollow board material comprising a first surface and a second surface, and between the first and second surfaces a plurality of distance members is disclosed. The method comprises providing material for the first surface from a first reel via a first guide roller towards an output lane; providing material for the second surface from a second reel via a second guide roller towards the output lane; and providing material for the distance members from a third reel towards the output lane such that the distance members comprises strips arranged, at any cross section perpendicular to the first and second surfaces and the direction of the output lane, perpendicular to the first and second surfaces and continuous along the output lane. The providing of material for the distance members comprises guiding at least some of the strips in a meandering pattern, and applying an adhesive to contact the strips on opposite edges thereof such that adhesion to the material of the first and second surfaces is enabled. The first and second guide rollers press the material of the first and second surfaces to the opposite edges of the strips, respectively, such that the material of the first and second surfaces are adhered to the strips. A machine for continuous manufacture of the composite hollow board material, and a computer program for controlling a machine for continuous manufacture of the composite hollow board material are also disclosed.

    • A method of forming flexible bags (10) having elastic-like behavior, wherein a sheet material (52) is introduced having one portion of the sheet material overlapping another portion of the sheet material. The sheet material (52) is formed into a strainable network. The strainable network includes a plurality of first regions (64) and a plurality of second regions (66). The first regions (64) are substantially un-deformed and the second regions (66) are formed into disengageable pleat elements (74). As the overlapped portions of the sheet material are formed they engage each other at the pleat elements. The pleat elements of each overlapped portion become engaged within each other and resist disengagement because of the frictional forces of the sheet material. The overlapped portions of the sheet material are separated using a disengaging means (130) so that the overlapped portions become disengaged and are separated from each other while riding on the disengaging means (130). The disengaging means is in the form of either air knife, static opening bar, dynamic opening bar, or suction means, and any combinations thereof.

    • A method of forming flexible bags from a continuous web is disclosed. The method includes introducing a continuous web of sheet material and passing it through a process whereby the flexible bag is formed having elastic-like behavior. The continuous web is processed into a continuous web having at least two regions that are visually distinct. A sheet material is introduced having one portion of the sheet material overlapping another portion of the sheet material. The sheet material is formed into a strainable network. The strainable network includes a plurality of first regions and a plurality of second regions. The first regions are substantially un-deformed and the second regions are formed into disengageable pleat elements. As the overlapped portions of the sheet material are formed they engage each other at the pleat elements. The pleat elements of each overlapped portion become engaged within each other and resist disengagement because of the frictional forces of the sheet material. The overlapped portions of the sheet material are separated using a disengaging means so that the overlapped portions become disengaged and are separated from each other while riding on the disengaging means. The disengaging means is in the form of either air knife, static opening bar, dynamic opening bar, or suction means, and any combinations thereof.
