摘要： The present invention relates to a process for the manufacture of a three-dimensional nonwoven, a manufacturing line for implementing this process and the resulting three-dimensional nonwoven product. Process characterized in that it consists in using a folding element (5) to apply, to an incoming web containing a proportion of thermoplastic fibres and/or filaments or fixing material, an initial fixing of the fold of the incoming web in the form of peaks and troughs, brought about by blades extending radially on ends of the folding element (5), this initial fixing being applied either by maintaining the folding element (5) itself at a set temperature, or by heating the incoming web. The invention is more particularly applicable to the textile industry, especially the manufacture of nonwovens.

摘要： A membrane cartridge is manufactured by repeatedly folding and joining two strips of membrane to form a cross-pleated cartridge with a stack of openings or fluid passageways configured in an alternating cross-flow arrangement. The cartridge can be modified for other flow configurations including co-flow and counter-flow arrangements. Methods for manufacturing such cross-pleated membrane cartridges, as well as apparatus used in the manufacturing process are described. Cross-pleated membrane cartridges comprising water- permeable membranes can be used in a variety of applications, including in heat and water vapor exchangers. In particular they can be incorporated into energy recovery ventilators (ERVs) for exchanging heat and water vapor between air streams being directed into and out of buildings.

摘要： A method and an arrangement for producing a laminate structure which is comprised of alternating smooth and corrugated sheets which form a corrugated or cellular structure. The structure is used, for instance, in the manufacture of so-called exchange contactors for the exchange of heat and moisture, among others. The starting material used is, for instance, a paper web comprised of formable material, such as fiber glass, cellulose or the like. The starting material is saturated or impregnated with a concentrated waterglass solution with the aid of impregnating means (14, 16), and is then dried by drying means (18, 26) to a dry solids content of 45-65 % with regard to the waterglass. The paper web (P1) is then corrugated with the aid of corrugating means (30) and is combined with a further, smooth paper web (P2) that has been saturated with waterglass and subsequently dried. The laminate structure formed by the two paper webs (P1, P2) is then dried (46) to a dry solids content of about 60-95 % with regard to the waterglass.

The cross-directional moisture content profiles of the top and bottom liners (12, 16) of the corrugated sheet (10) are automatically monitored, and controlled with independently operable water jets (19, 23) such that the liners (12, 16) have approximately equal machine and cross-direction moisture content profiles.
