    • A skill competition wagering system is provided. The skill competition wagering system includes an interactive controller having a touchscreen driver operatively connected to a touchscreen controller and a process controller. The touchscreen driver is constructed to receive touchscreen telemetry data from touchscreen controller, determine from the touchscreen telemetry data that two or more users are touching a touchscreen operatively connected to the touchscreen controller, communicate to the process controller a request for a randomized sequence, receive from the process controller the randomized sequence, determine an ordered touch sequence using the touchscreen telemetry data and the randomized sequence, and communicate the ordered touch sequence to an interactive application of the interactive controller. The process controller is constructed to receive the request for a randomized sequence from the driver, generate the randomized sequence using a random number generator, and communicate the randomized sequence to the driver.

    • Provided is a wager-per-play skill game in which the player's skill is used in selecting one of several random prize distributions or prize pools from which the player's award will be randomly selected. Wagers are preferably entered automatically for each skilled interaction the player makes in the game play area, allowing for continuous play in which the game state persists between wagers. In one version, there is no possibility of complete failure of the skill game, instead every move of the player is given an immediate skill rating or value. The immediate skill rating is used to select an associated prize distribution or prize pool from among multiple distributions or pools, which is then applied to randomly select a prize for the player's move.

A hybrid game includes a real world engine configured to provide a randomly generated payout for a gambling game and a game world engine configured to manage an entertainment software engine to provide outcomes based upon a player's skillful execution of an entertainment game. Parameter data indicative of player performance when playing the entertainment game at a first difficulty setting is collected and a difficulty setting is selected for the entertainment game based upon the collected parameter data. An amount of real world credit to be wagered in the gambling game may be determined based on the selected difficulty setting for the entertainment game, where real world credit is credit used in the gambling game.
