A method is disclosed for enhancing the x-ray absorbing efficiency of a polymer which is essentially non-carrier transporting in the absence of x-rays and the x-ray photoconductivity of said polymer by doping the polymer with an effective amount of clusters having a size within the range of from about 0.001 mu m to 10 mu m.
