摘要： A gas cutoff system for use with a gas-operated firearm (F). The gas cutoff system includes a gas block (10) affixed to the barrel (12) and having a plurality of openings adjacent the barrel (12) for receiving gas redirected from the barrel (12) of the firearm (F) upon firing. At least one gas cylinder (26) is disposed within the gas block (10) and includes a piston (24) disposed within and moveable along the gas cylinder (26). A valve assembly is disposed within the gas cylinder (26) adjacent to the at least one piston (24). The valve assembly includes a selectively closeable valve (20) that can be actuated upon firing of the firearm (F) when the volume/pressure of gas entering the gas block (10) through the plurality of openings overcomes a biasing force of a spring (18) so as to actuate movement of the valve (20) within the gas cylinder (26). A portion of the valve (20) is moved to a location blocking the openings through which the gas is entering the gas block (10) to prevent excess gas from entering the gas operating system.

摘要： A semi-automatic and automatic firearm of the "bull pup" configuration with bosses on the receiver for direct mounting of the sighting device and fixing thereon by rotatable fasteners. The bolt carrier has guide tubes riding on guide rods fixed to the stock; and, the tubes and rods have longitudinal grooves to expel water. The firearm is gas operated with an adjustable gas block with raised dots and letters indicating the setting. The firearm has a two stage operation in which a first trigger position results in a single shot and a second trigger position results in multiple automatic shots when the selector is In automatic position. When the selection is in the burst position, the first trigger position gives a single shot and the second selector gives a predetermined number of shots in a burst. The magazine is provided with longitudinal and transverse reinforcing ribs with a recess in the ribs allowing the magazine to be inserted in the firearm. A forward assist button is provided forward of the front of the bolt. The bolt carrier is provided with rollers at its top; and, sliding contact surfaces are micro-finished and coated for wear and friction resistance.
