    • The present invention relates to a gas burner assembly (10) for a gas cooking appliance, in particular for a gas cooking hob. The gas burner assembly (10) comprises an upper burner part (12) and a lower burner part (14), wherein the upper burner part (12) is arranged above the lower burner part (14). The upper burner part (12) includes a central portion and a number of peripheral portions, wherein the peripheral portions extend radially and horizontally from the central portion. An impingement cone (40) is formed at a bottom side of the central portion of the upper burner part (12) and a gas injector (20) is arranged below the impingement cone (40) and directed to said impingement cone (40), so that a gas jet from the gas injector (20) impinges at the impingement cone (40) and said gas jet with dragged atmospheric air is directed to the peripheral portions. A Venturi tube (44) extends between the central portion and the peripheral portions in each case, so that a mixture of gas and air is accelerated to the peripheral portions. A plurality of flame ports (36, 38) is arranged at the circumference of the peripheral portions. Further, the present invention relates to a gas cooking appliance, in particular a gas cooking hob, including at least one gas burner assembly (10).

    • A burner is disclosed for generating flame and heat. The burner includes a first stage, a second stage downstream of the first stage, a third stage downstream of the first and second stages, and a fourth stage downstream of the first, second, and third stages. The first stage comprises a first innermost air chamber and a first mixing chamber for air and fuel, wherein the first stage includes separate conduits for air and fuel, and wherein the air and fuel begin to mix in the first mixing chamber during use to form an air/fuel mixture. The second stage comprises a second mixing chamber which comprises a deflection plate to force the air/fuel mixture outward from the centerline. The third stage comprises a combustion zone. The combustion zone includes a swirl generator. The swirl generator has an inner diameter greater than an outer diameter of the deflection plate. The swirl generator produces a swirl, whirl, vortex, or the like in the flame during operation.

    • A radiant burner and method are disclosed. The radiant burner is for treating an effluent gas stream from a manufacturing process tool and comprises: a combustion chamber having a porous sleeve through which combustion materials pass for combustion proximate to a combustion surface of said porous sleeve; and a plenum surrounding said porous sleeve supplying said combustion materials to said porous sleeve, said plenum being configured to provide said combustion materials with varying stoichiometry along a length of said porous sleeve. This approach of varying the stoichiometric ratios of the combustion materials correspondingly varies the heat generated by those combustion materials along the length of the porous sleeve. By varying the stoichiometry of the combustion materials to compensate for variations in the heat generated within the combustion chamber along the length of the porous sleeve, a more uniform temperature can be achieved along the length of the porous sleeve within the combustion chamber.
