    • A shelter system for use within an environment having air includes an enclosure disposeable within the environment formed of an air impermeable material. The enclosure is expansible from a collapsed configuration to a usage configuration and is configured to define an interior chamber, to contain a quantity of air within the chamber, and to substantially prevent entry of the environment air into the chamber. An oxygen generator disposeable within the enclosure includes a housing and a quantity of oxygen-producing material disposeable within the housing for generating oxygen by spontaneous chemical reaction, the oxygen being discharged to the enclosure chamber. A carbon dioxide removal device disposeable within the enclosure includes a chamber, a reactive material disposed within the chamber for removing carbon dioxide from the enclosure air, and a fan initiating flow through the chamber. The system may be used within a building, a vehicle, or an open environment.

    • The present invention provides decontamination equipment which can be on site with the first responders, and set up on the clean line, ready to process personnel as they move from the contaminated area. In one embodiment the present invention provides a transportable mass personnel decontamination system comprising a transportation means (10) carrying a plurality of individual three compartment processing cubicles (36, 39, 42); (37, 40, 43); (38, 41, 44) for ambulatory personnel, each processing cubicle having enclosure means (49, 50, 51) for each compartment to provide modesty screening of personnel, the first compartment (30, 31) for disrobing, the second compartment (32, 33)containing a temperature and pressure controlled personnel operated shower with a decontaminant dispenser, and the third compartment (34, 35) providing a re-dress area. A soft conveyor litter patient processing line (4, 5, 7) including stations for decontaminating, washing, rinsing, and drying litter patients is included. A monitoring area can be available beyond the processing cubicles. The system further includes a fresh water supply (48), and a grey water collection and storage tank (47). The fresh water system includes a temperature and pressure control (46) which specifically has an anti-scald control.

    • A modular transportable collective protection system for the decontamination and containment of personnel in a toxic free area. A contamination containment area is provided through which personnel are decontaminated prior to entering the toxic free area. The migration of contaminants is prevented by causing a purge of clean filtered air from the toxic free area to the contamination control area and to the exterior environment. A blower and filter unit provides air to the toxic free area to maintain an over pressure therein, ensuring that all entry to the toxic free area is through a flow of clean air.

    • A triage cubicle assembly comprises an enclosure of foldable material sufficiently large to accommodate a disaster victim and at least one other person when deployed, the enclosure being releasably attachable to an external overhead frame for support, and having a floor configured to have a portion overlie a victim-supporting surface higher than the floor and external to the enclosure. In the preferred embodiment, the external overhead canopy frame is collapsible, and the victim- supporting surface is a table-like structure that fits within a notch formed in the bottom exterior of the envelope. The frame and table are preferably collapsible to require minimum storage space when not deployed. If the victim is deceased, the enclosure can be undipped or otherwise released from the frame, and folded into a body bag containing all of the victim's information and belongings and medical waste.
