    • A sloped gutter assembly provides for the controlled discharge of runoff water from a structure roof. This gutter assembly provides more efficient, single person installation, a predetermined slope to facilitate drainage, and an improved screen mechanism. Specifically, this gutter includes a first elongated gutter section (10) having a bottom (11) and upstanding sidewalls (12, 13) that collectively define a U-shaped cross section. The first gutter section (10) has sidewalls (12, 13) progressively tapered from the upstream end to the downstream end. Mounting brackets (20) are integrally attached to one of the upstanding sidewalls (12), and attach the first elongated gutter section to the building or other structure. The gutter assembly also includes a screen (30) that is hingedly attached to the gutter sidewall (12) and overlays the gutter channel and opposing sidewall (13), preventing leaves and other debris from entering the gutter channel. The gutter assembly includes a downspout section (14) that telescopically receives the downstream end of the first gutter section (10).
