摘要： The invention relates to a method for start-up and operation of a Fischer-Tropsch reactor comprising the steps of: (a) providing a reactor with a fixed bed of reduced Fischer-Tropsch catalyst that comprises cobalt as catalytically active metal; (b) supplying a gaseous feed stream comprising carbon monoxide and hydrogen to the reactor, wherein the gaseous feed stream initially comprises a nitrogen-containing compound other than molecular nitrogen in an initial concentration in the range of from 0.1 to 50 ppmv based on the volume of the gaseous feed stream; (c) converting carbon monoxide and hydrogen supplied with the gaseous feed stream to the reactor into hydrocarbons at an initial reaction temperature, wherein the initial reaction temperature is set at a value of at least 200 °C and hydrocarbons are produced at a first yield; (d) maintaining the initial reaction temperature at the set value and maintaining the first yield by decreasing the concentration of the nitrogen-containing compound in the gaseous feed stream supplied to the reactor; (e) optionally increasing the reaction temperature after the concentration of the nitrogen-containing compound in the gaseous feed stream has decreased to a value below 100 ppbv.

摘要： A Fischer-Tropsch process for converting syngas to a hydrocarbon product wherein the product has a desired chain length, e.g. diesel. The syngas is passed through a fluidized-bed of catalyst in a chain-limiting reactor until the chain length of the hydrocarbon being absorbed on said catalyst reaches a chain length which is substantially equal to the chain length of the desired hydrocarbon product. This "saturated" portion of the catalyst is then removed from the reactor and is replaced with fresh catalyst. The "saturated" catalyst is regenerated and recycled to the reactor.

The slurry bed (70) has a catalyst loading of less than 14% by volume of degassed slurry. The gaseous reactant is allowed to react catalytically at a pressure above atmospheric pressure as the gaseous reactant bubbles upwardly through the slurry bed (70) to produce at least one product. The product and any unreacted gaseous reactant are withdrawn from the vessel (12).

摘要： The process of the invention comprises feeding gaseous reactants into a slurry bed of particles suspended in a liquid. The gaseous reactants (13) react in the slurry bed (16), to form liquid and, optionally, gaseous products. The liquid product forms, together with the suspension liquid, a liquid phase of the slurry bed (16). Any gaseous product and unreacted gaseous reactants disengage from the slurry bed, and pass upwardly, together with any entrained solid particles and liquid phase, as a gas phase into a head space (17) above the slurry bed (16). The gas phase is subjected to distillation and, optionally, washing in the head space, to separate any entrained solid particles and liquid phase from the gas phase. Any separated entrained solid particles and, optionally, liquid phase is returned to the slurry bed. The treated gas phase is withdrawn (44, 46) from the head space.
