摘要： Method and apparatus for turning an upholstered article (5) comprising first and second clamping members (8, 9) between which the article (5) may be clamped, and tufting means (14) for location on one side of the article (5). The clamping (8, 9) means are arranged to clamp the article (5) in a substantially horizontal orientation. The tufting means (14) is operable to insert a tuft into the article (5) along a substantially upright tufting axis when the article (5) is clamped between said clamping members (8, 9). In a preferred embodiment a pair of moveable support members (10) are located to either side of the clamping members (8, 9). The support members (10) can be moved such that a portion of at least one of them supports the mattress (5) before and after clamping, but is clear of the mattress (5) whilst the mattress (5) is clamped during tufting.
