摘要： A heavy-duty, thermoplastic storage bin comprises a rectilinear base, spaced columns integrally formed with the base, and rectangular end and side panels that are foldable and erectable with respect to the base. At least one of the panels is detachable from the base. At least one central column having an integral portion protrudes upwardly from an upper base surface and is interlockable with a corresponding side panel at a bottom center region, for generating a sufficiently high sagging resisting moment. In a method for emptying the bin, the base is supported by a forklift, after the bin has been loaded with desired products. Following a material handling operation by the forklift, a tilting device carried by the forklift is operated to sufficiently change a disposition of the bin such that the loaded products are caused to be emptied while a side panel remains engaged with the central and corner columns.

The base member defines a footprint of 'x' length and 'y' width. In the collapsed state the vertical height of the container assembly is the equivalent to five thicknesses of the base and in the non-collapsed state the vertical height is equal to the shorter of 'x' and 'y'. 摘要： A stackable transport pallet or storage case which includes a base (12) incorporating a floor (14) and a plurality of side frames (20) cooperable to extend about and laterally bound a storage space above the floor. The base (12) is provided with detachably mounting means (65) of peripheral channel plates (70, 71, 72) having upturned flanges (72) and horizontal inwardly directed tabs (74). These tabs (74) engage slots (75) on the side frames (20). The side frames (20) must be tilted outwardly to enable both mounting and detachment from the channel plates. This is manually effected without the aid of tools. A link means (30) for disengagably linking the side frames in a pairwise fashion to stabilise the mounting of the side frames to the base is provided. Each link means (30) comprises two U-shaped bracket locators (57) engaging adjacent vertical end portions of two side frames and a two-legged peg (59). A detachable reinforcing bar can be attached to the top of each side frame via the slots (82) to provide strengthening and stiffening.
