A method of erecting a modular power generation facility includes producing a plurality of primary modules, each including a housing adapted from an intermodal shipping container having posts, rails, and sills connected together by shipping container corner castings; shipping the primary modules, which include gen-set modules and a switchgear module, to an installation location; positioning the primary modules in a vertical stack; attaching the primary modules to one another in the vertical stack; interconnecting the engine-generators of the one or more gen-set modules with the switchgear of the switchgear module; and operating the engine-generators and the switchgear to provide electricity to a transformer connected to the switchgear in response to a power load demand. The shipping, positioning, and attaching steps are carried out with engine-generators and switchgear operatively installed in the interior of the primary modules.

The disclosed systems include a modular portable container that can be used to hold multiple types of dry flowable material for transportation about a work site. The different types of dry materials can be selectively released from the modular container for mixing with liquid and bulk material in a blender. The modular container generally includes a base structure that supports a number of individual, separable, and fully enclosed compartments. The compartments may each hold a different type of dry material, and the compartments may be arranged onto the base structure adjacent one another and removably secured to the base structure so that the compartments can be transported as a single unit about the work site.

    • The present disclosure relates to open sided intermodal containers, and to a door installation for the sides of these containers. In one aspect, there is provided a container comprising a container body, the container body comprising at least a base, a plurality of corner posts, at least one side rail extending between a pair of corner posts, the side rail comprising a downwardly opening channel, a door assembly comprising a door panel, and a hinge assembly connecting the door panel with respect to the container body. The hinge assembly comprises a pin, and a knuckle which is able to both slide along the pin, and pivot on the pin so that the door panel can move between an open and a closed position with respect to the container body. There is also a lifting mechanism, and an actuator for the lifting mechanism. In use, when the door panel is in or approaching its closed position with respect to the container body, the lifting mechanism effects an upward displacement of the door panel so that an upper edge of the door panel is driven into an engagement with the channel. This arrangement compensates for door misalignment issues created by deflection of the container body.
