    • The object of this invention is a method to shoot an object from a flying apparatus. Into an flying apparatus, into certain part of it, like a container (2) that consists at least of a bottom (3) and a shell (4) a spring (6) will be placed, like a push spring that has been loaded in a tense state and that is locked in this position using a fixing organ (8, 8c) and further there will be put as an extension of the spring an object (1) to be shot out from the flying apparatus. The fixing organ (8, 8c) is thread, metal cord, bar, strip, rope, line, or some combination of these and its tension strength (T) is greater that the tension load of the push force (F) to the mentioned fixing organ. The tension strength (T) of the fixing organ (8,8c) is weakened to be less than the mentioned tension load by heating, burning, or melting the mentioned fixing organ by electric energy when the fixing organ (8, 8c) breaks, the spring (6) expands into the direction of the object (1) and the push force (F) pushes the object out of the container (2) and off the flying apparatus. The apparatus that is used in the present method is also an object of the invention.

    • The present invention system substantially reduces the cost of processing and analysis by implementing a plurality of electro-optic sensors (12) to detect sequentially individually energized LEDs(22) mounted onto the to be ejected store (14). To sequentially activate the LEDs, receiver decoder electronics (18), located on the store, are used - provided signals are sent thereton by a radio control transmitter (8) located in the aircraft (2). By formatting the data received by the electro-optic sensors, the different positional characteristics, such as the pitch rate, the velocity, the yaw rate and the roll rate, can be calculated in real time, the raw data having been transmitted thereto by means of a telemetry system (10), also located within the aircraft. The operation of the electro-optic sensors, the radio transmitter and the telemetry system are controlled by a processor (6).

    • An air-based vertical launch system is described by means of which ballistic missile defense can be achieved effectively from a large aircraft. A method for ensuring safe missile egress is proposed. A method for ensuring that the missile strikes the ballistic missile payload section is also proposed. Together, the air basing method employing vertical (or near-vertical) launch and semi-active laser guidance yield an affordable and operationally effective missile defense against both tactical and long-range ballistic missiles. The affordability of missile defense is enhanced by the ability of an aircraft equipped with a vertical launcher to simultaneously carry out several defensive and offensive missions and to provide other capabilities such as satellite launch at other times. Methods for employing an aircraft equipped with a vertical (or near-vertical launcher) and one or more of the proposed egress assurance mechanisms in offensive ground attack missions, mine laying, and satellite launch missions are also proposed.
