    • The present invention provides apparatus for launching devices formed from an elongate housing. The apparatus includes a launch housing (1) that defines an elongate cavity (4), with an aperture (6) extending through a first end of the housing to the cavity. A seal (11) is provided in the cavity so as to define first and second portions, each of which adapted to receive a respective device (7A, 7B). At least two charges (16A, 16B) are coupled to the second end of the launch housing in use, with two flow paths (15A, 15B) extending from a respective one of the charges to a respective portion through the launch housing. A control system (18) is then used to activate a first one of the charges to expel the first device from the first portion, and to activate a second one of the charges to expel the second device from the second portion.

The electronic control (28) can be implemented in either a pistol (1) having an ammunition magazine (23), a multichambered handgun or a revolver.

    • The invention relates to portable firearms intended for use by civil persons for self-defense by shooting with traumatizing elements or by audio and light signals (shot flash). The invention is characterized by a construction of the guntubes which are embodied in the form of a cartridge case equipped with an electric spark igniter. The inventive arm comprises a bullet holder and an activating mechanism. Said activating mechanism comprises a pulse magnetoelectric or a pulse electrochemical current supply electrically connected to a distributor provided with a contact block. The embodiment of the guntube in the form of a cartridge case equipped with the electric spark igniter and the use of the current supply for activating the arm makes it possible to create an effective self-defense arm and to exclude a criminal use thereof.
