    • This invention aims at providing a convenient elevated railway system using an energy-saving extra-light vehicle for the purpose of rendering the land purchasing for the railway construction unnecessary, and constructing such a railway system in the air above an existing railway or road at a low cost in a short term of works to eliminate the traffic congestion by connecting an urban area and a residential area in the suburbs together by a high-speed traffic means. This invention also aims at providing a high-speed automatic transportation system and a high-speed scientific model by the miniaturization techniques. A railway to be constructed is mainly of an elevated system, in which a support arc can be adjusted in the construction site to a predetermined angle with respect to a fixed arc, and the rails in a curved section are formed out of the same material as those in a straight section, the reduction of the material cost being attained by mass-production, the elevated railway structure except the foundations for the support posts being able to be assembled. A vehicle of a single-row wheel drive system is travelled stably on a single rail by an auxiliary apparatus including guide wheels. A flying railway vehicle is constructed which uses a driving system in which a propeller unit is added to a wheel driving unit, to improve the high-speed travelling capability. The wheel driving apparatus in use comprises mainly a symmetrical wheel driving control system for a large-sized vehicle, and mainly a double-collar gear type wheel driving system for a small-sized vehicle. The propeller unit is used mainly for accelerating and braking a vehicle travelling at a high speed. The level of thrust is controlled by detecting a slip or a slide of a driving wheel. A vehicle body is supported on a truck shocklessly by using a shock absorber, and a leaf spring collection shoe which has small weight can also be used as a pantograph. The railway vehicle according to the present invention mounted with a target or a remote control device and moved circulatingly can be used as a sniping machine, or enables a game to be played or predetermined work to be done by a remote control operation. A model railway vehicle or a miniaturized high-speed transportation vehicle can be provided.

    • A vehicle track including a soft porous material and a vehicle which rides on the track by skiing cm the soft porous material. The vehicle has a large ski surface that rides on the soft porous material, supporting the weight of the vehicle at high speeds. Air within the soft porous material supplies most of the lift needed to support the train, Qniy a small amount of the support is provided by the structure of the porous material itself when the vehicle is in motion. As a result, the friction between the soft porous material and the ski surface may also he exceedingly small. To increase the amount of lift provided by the soft porous material it can be contained within a channel having impermeable sides and bottom. If the ski surface is substantially the same width as the channel, the impermeable sides prevent the air from escaping on either side of die ski surface. Accordingly, the trapped air contributes to greatly enhanced lift force. At lower speeds the vehicle can use wheels to support some or all of its weight. These wheels can ride on rails that are part of the track. The vehicle includes a propulsion system that is independent of the wheels so that it may travel over the soft porous material without running on the wheels.

    • An aircraft (20) is connected to a structural cable (50) by a drive element (40) traveling inside the structural cable (50). An electricity distribution cable (60) is connected to the structural cable (50) and provides power to the drive element (40). A series of electromagnets (54) in the structural cable (50) encircle an array of electromagnets (44) in the drive element (40). A centralized computer controls a constantly changing phase shift in the electromagnets (54) along the structural cable (50) causing the drive element electromagnets (54) to move without contact through the structural cable (50). The aircraft (20) is connected by cables (43) to the drive elements (40). Retractable delta wings (29), an airfoil body, and a controlled angle of attack create a lift for maintaining the aircraft (20) in flight. An onboard computer (24) controls stabilizers (22, 27), and spoilers (23) to maintain a precise flight path. A fiber optic cable (70) is mounted on the structural cable (50) and in communication with an onboard long distance communication system. The structural cable (50), fiber optic cable (70) and electricity distribution cable (60) are connected to buildings for providing a door-to-door transportation, communication, and nationwide power distribution system.
