摘要： Certain example embodiments relate to techniques for creating flat laminated mirrors, e.g., for use in concentrating solar power (CSP) applications. In certain example embodiments, the first substrate is a low iron glass substrate. A reflective coating is provided between the first and second substrates. The first and second substrates are laminated together via a radiation curable laminating adhesive with the reflective coating between the substrates. In certain example embodiments the radiation curable laminating adhesive is cured via UV radiation in order to form a laminated reflective article.

摘要： An ionomer blend composition comprises a blend of a first ionomer and a second ionomer that is different from the first ionomer. The first ionomer is derived from a first precursor acid copolymer that has a melt flow rate of about 10 to about 4000 g/10 min and that comprises copolymerized units of an α-olefin and about 20 to about 30 wt% of copolymerized units of an α,-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid. Moreover, the first precursor acid can be neutralized to a level of about 40% to about 90% to form a sodium ionomer that has a MFR of about 0.7 to about 25 g/10 min and a freeze enthalpy that is less than about 3.0 j/g or that is not detectable, when determined by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). A variety of articles may comprise or be produced from the ionomer blend composition, for example by injection molding.

The invention also includes processes and systems for laminating other rigid and substantially rigid materials to one another. The process may include providing a first rigid substrate (18) having a first surface (18), and a second rigid substrate (20) having a second surface (26). The first rigid substrate (18) is distorted to create a curvature in the first surface, and an adhesive composition is applied to at least a portion of the second surface (26) of the second rigid substrate (20). The curvature of the first surface of the first substrate is brought in contact with the adhesive on the second surface (26) in order to form an interface having a contact front. Thereafter, the contact front of the adhesive advances across at least a portion of the second substrate in order to distribute the adhesive (38) between the two rigid substrates (18, 20) and permit their bonding together.
