    • The invention relates to prefabricated panels made of reinforced or prestressed concrete with an open cross-section in reverse box configuration, which provides for the appropriate fire resistance of concrete floor slab systems. The width of panel ribs in the prior art is insufficient to achieve fire resistant floor slab systems. This can be achieved by using panels with a reverse box cross-section forming with a width double than the ribs of backed panels, and supporting the weight of the latter. The object is to obtain such panels with a strictly rectangular external shape, with planar and parallel faces in order to achieve the minimum seam between backed panels, the fire resistance of the concrete slab being that of a double width set-back beam. The invnetion achieve this result in a linear fixed bed without moving any part of the formwork when extracting the panels. The fabrication of panels, the fabrication process and device are claimed.

    • The invention is a composite masonry block having a front surface (12) and a back surface (18) which are adjoined by first and second side surfaces (14, 16), as well as a top surface (10) and a bottom surface (8) each lying adjacent the front (12), back (18), and first and second side (14, 16) surfaces. Each of the side surfaces (14, 16) has an inset (22A, 22B) spanning from the block top surface (10) to the block bottom surface (8). The block top surface (10) has one or more protrusions (26) positioned adjacent the first and second insets (22A, 22B) on the block top surface (10). The blocks of the invention comprise back legs (24A, 24B) which are directed outwardly from the blocks back surface (18). The block back legs (24A, 24B) may extend in a plane parallel to the block front surface (12) or extend forwardly toward the blocks front surface (12). In use, the blocks may be stacked to provide an interlocking structure wherein the protrusions (26) of one block interfit within the insets (22A, 22B) of another block. The invention also comprises a method of block molding and a mold assembly which may be used to make a block which may be stackable to form structures of varying setback.

    • A concrete product molding machine supports a vibratable mold (M) having an open top and an open bottom. A pallet receiver (33) is movable from a lower position to a mold closing position in which a pallet it carries closes the bottom of the mold (M). Disengageable linking mechanism (11) is provided for coupling the striper head (19) and pallet receiver frame (33) for conjoint travel in movement of the stripper head through the mold. A connector assembly (79) connects with a pallet receiver lift arm (83, 84) and incorporates an actuator for varying the position of the upper end of the lift arm and thereby varying the vertical position of the pallet receiver (33).
