摘要： A system for the internal fixation of a fractured bone of an elbow joint of a patient includes at least one bone plate, each bone plate having a plurality of holes and generally configured to fit an anatomical surface of the fractured bone. The at least one plate is adapted to be customized to the shape of a patient's bone. The system also includes a plurality of fasteners including at least one locking fastener for attaching the bone plate to the bone. At least one of the holes is a threaded hole. Guides for plate benders, drills, and/or K-wires can be pre-assembled to the threaded holes, and the locking fastener can lock into any of the threaded holes after the guides are removed.

摘要： A method and apparatus for pressing a gear (30) or the like onto a shaft (45). A pressing actuator (130) has a fixed portion (131) and a movable actuator rod (145) for engaging a face (31) of the gear. The actuator rod moves through and is concentric with the pressing sleeve (100). An actuator rod adapter (155) and a shaft adapter (185) attach the shaft to the actuator rod. When the actuator rod is retracted within the actuator body, the shaft is pulled through a shaft bore in the gear by the actuator rod, the actuator rod adpater and the shaft adapter while the gear is held stationary with respect to the actuator fixed portion by the pressing sleeve, thus pressing the gear onto the shaft.

摘要： Method and means to remove, implant, attach and otherwise fit or adjust bone-related articles such as surgical implants, rods, nails, prosthetic and similar devices, dental restorations, and the like, without destruction of or damage to the recipient bone or composite, using a series or train of force pulses to move the article incrementally with relation to the recipient bone or composite. The waveshape of the force pulses is designed, in some cases, to oscillate the article relative to the recipient bone structure, to produce microfractures at the interface between the article and the bone or composite. A hand-held pneumatic tool is shown for providing the force pulses. The tool and method may be used for non-surgical applications such as to remove construction nails, plastic shafts, bearing races and other objects.

摘要： An assembly device for a shaft damper. The assembly device comprises a holding member (1001) for holding (20, 30) a damper. The holding member is releasably engaged with a pair of parallel elongate members (1005, 1006). An actuator (2000) is connected to the elongate members and to a piston (1002). A shaft damper (20, 30) is inserted into and temporarily held by the holding member. The holding member containing the shaft damper is inserted into a shaft a predetermined distance. The actuator then slidingly retracts the holding member while a pressing member at an end of the piston simultaneously holds the damper in the proper position in the shaft (10).
