摘要： A doorway mounted body exercise apparatus has upper and lower horizontal bars bridging the doorway and carrying respective pulleys and, a rearwardly protruding weight set supporting arm which can be swung between either lateral side to the rear of the doorway to accommodate left and right hand hinged doors and can be retracted into the doorway to permit the door to be completely closed while still mounted. Different cabling arrangements enable the weight set to be used as a counter weight for body weight assistance or additional resistance. An upper frame carrying the upper bar is collapsible for removal and storage or to enable a person to walk through the doorway. The lower bar is hinged at one end to the jamb for swinging up against the jamb so as not to obstruct the doorway when not in use. Footpads on the upper frame enable exercising while hanging upside down.

The support assembly includes an adjustable support bar (12). The swing support assembly includes a pair of mounting brackets (14). Each of the mounting brackets includes a pair of attachment straps (46) which engage both a bracket body (44), and an abutment strip (26) to securely hold the mounting bracket in place on an upright member of the door frame. The attachment straps (46) are adjustable. One of the mounting brackets includes an adjustable door stop member which is used to prevent the door from closing. The door stop member is pivotable between an extended position, and a storage position such that when the door stop member (43) is in the storage position, the door can be closed while the swing support assembly is still installed.

摘要： A doorway mountable runner restraint device has a rigid, padded, belly pad that is placed against and in front of a user's pelvis and abdominal area. A pair of cords attached to the belly pad are each attached to an elastic member. Each of the elastic members is, in turn, attached to an anchor which is removably fastened to a stationary object such as a closed door, a doorway frame, or sandwiched between a closed door and the doorway frame. A user fastens the apparatus in place, faces away from the doorway, places the belly pad against his or her torso directly over the pelvis area, and then runs in a direction away from the doorway. The elastic members resist and restrain the user from substantial forward movement away from the doorway but stretch to allow forward running movement during each step.
