    • Playing cards are supplied into play at a playing area while a card game is in progress and whenever required by the rules of the card game and only for immediate use by players by successively generating signals representing indicia designating respective single, individual playing card values randomly drawn from a series of stored playing card values while the game is in progress, feeding the signals to a card stock printer (15) at the playing area and immediately delivering single, leading printed playing cards (20) successively, one-by-one into play.     • A board game apparatus for use in playing a game between two players includes a game board (10) having an alternating pattern of light (12) and dark (13) squares, a first set of game pieces (20) which is light in color, and a second set of game pieces (20) which is dark in color. First keying devices (14) are attached to the light squares of the game board and second keying devices (16) are attached to the dark squares. The first keying devices affect the appearance of the first set of game pieces but not the second set of game pieces, and said second keying devices affect the appearance of the second set of game pieces but not the first set of game pieces. A game piece (20) of one of the sets becomes a game piece of the other set when the piece is turned over.

    • A compound building member (1) for use in fabricating structures includes a plurality of strip form elements (4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14) helically wound in complementary fashion and intertwined to form a cylindrical lattice body (2) that extends longitudinally of the member (1). The elements (4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14) are twisted about their longitudinal axes to form peaks and valleys and are aligned with the valleys located at element cross points (16, 18) and the twist peaks located between successive element cross points (16, 18) so that the elements (4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14) nest with one another at the cross points (16, 18). The slopes between the twist valleys and peaks form ramp shoulders that restrain movement apart of the elements (4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14). Linear, elements (22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 31) can also be located at the perimeter of the member (1) extending in the longitudinal direction of the cylindrical body (2) in contact with the element cross points (16, 18), further support the member (1). In addition, annular, transversely extending elements (32, 34, 36, 38) can be provided to contact the cross points (16, 18) at locations along the length of the cylindrical body (2) for added support. The lattice body (2) can be embedded in a matrix of concrete or polymeric material.
